TwinBins are a two level storage bin, the bottom bin is normally used for active stock and the top bin for reserved storage. Once the bottom stock has ran out you can pull the divider to release the reserved stock into the active stock bin. When combined with BinFlag this can be a highly effective method for stock control, as the BinFlag will display a bright red flag to show when stock needs ordering, reducing the amount of time required to check stock levels. Once stock has been ordered they can be changed to the yellow flag and then green once full re-stocked. This allows you to buy stock on a just on time basis, rather than hoarding stock with a “just in case mentality”.
These bins can also be used with RFID technology this allows stock control to be done wirelesses. When a BinFlag has been raised it will expose the RFID tag allowing the stock control system to detect that stock needs ordering saving precious time in your company.
